Dar's (Protein) Bars

Check out these protein bars our CORE 4 Fit client, Darlene, made! Try them out and let us know how you like them!


-1 cup unsweetened applesauce
-3 tbsp mini chocolate chips
-3 tbsp finely chopped hazelnuts
-3 tbsp finely chopped walnuts
-3 tbsp chia seeds
-2 tbsp finely chopped shredded sweetened coconut
-2 tbsp chopped raisins
-1 1/2 cups quick oats
-2 1/2 scoops Designer Vanilla Whey (@ local grocery store)
-1/2 cup Peanut butter
-4 tbsp Blue Agave syrup (any)
-1 tbsp Milk


-preheat oven to 350. Line 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper. Coat paper with coconut oil.
-mix dry ingredients with applesauce. Set aside.
-melt peanut butter, syrup and milk in small pot on low heat.
-once liquidity, mix together with dry ingredients.
-next evenly spread mixture in baking dish. Press gently into sides. Bake 20-30 mins.
-let cool, cut 12 bars and drizzle dark chocolate and optional sprinkle salt flakes.
-refrigerator leftovers


Try ingredients you like. There are a variety of nuts, seeds and dried fruit. If you have regular oats, chop finely or pulse in blend. Fine texture is best. Also, try different nut butters and maple syrup. Sugar-free options are available too.
